Week 37: Empty...

🎶Jesus said love everyone, treat them kindly too...when your heart is filled with love, others will love you❤️🎶

🎶Pray, he is there, speak, he is listening...🎶
🎶As I walk with Jesus, to my home above, He will bless me with His Spirit, and fill me with His love. Change my heart forever, and help me clearly see. I will walk with Jesus, and He will walk with me🎶
🎶I know when I am baptized, my wrongs are washed away, and I can be forgiven and improve myself each day🎶
🎶Families can be together forever, through Heavenly Father's plan🎶
I love the simple truths of primary songs. Give them a listen when you need a pick me up. Jesus can lift you through songs filled with the truths of His gospel.
Just a little reminder 😇😊

Miracles
☆☆☆Harriett and her sweet granddaughters Taraji and Paris are the sweetest ever! We came back for our second appointment and they had highlighted the Book of Mormon! They can feel the happiness from it when they read. It's amazing! God is GOOD!
☆☆☆We had alllll of our lessons fall through, and we were hitting our backup plans and we met a man outside named Lawrence! We gave him a Book of Mormon and then we shared a scripture and he said "Hey, you should visit my across the street neighbor! He's probably on Main Street. Go find him!" So we did! We found mister Rudolph! And he literally said he had prayed that morning for someone to come into his path. It was so awesome to be able to follow the Lord and his plan and not knowing the blessings it would bring for others until after!
☆☆☆Sherrill was standing on the sidewalk. I walked up to her and smiled wide and introduced myself. I saw a peek of a smile and told her how beautiful it was! Then a full toothy grin broke loose. Ahh it was so special!
☆☆☆Crystal and Brady learned the Plan of Salvation! They were so invested asking WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?! Crystal even turned and asked Scrappy the cat "Do you want to go to spirit PARADISE or PRISON?" They are learning fast!
☆☆☆There's this street. Wise street. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE knows not to go on that street. Lots of people know of someone who was shot or died or was killed on that street. So we avoid it at all costs. We went to visit someone, and their house was just off of Wise Street. So we went and knocked once, then twice. Then we hear a sound we didn't want to. Gun shots... whether it was a really loud speaker and it was fake or real, we don't know. But we BOOKED it to the car and peeled out. Never again. The Lord definitely protected us❤️
☆☆☆We got out of an appointment 10 minutes late and we were running behind to our member meal. and we hear *ding ding* the gas light. 28 miles to our member meal. 28 miles in the tank. So...what do we do? We assume that we can just survive on fumes😁 Sister Carter missed one turn... guess that was too much. Because we were one minute away. And we were turning left into the neighborhood of our destination. And then SPUTTER SPUTTER... the car shifts into park. And we are stuck. No more gas. I've heard of this happening to other unfortunate souls, but I never thought it would happen to me. Almost immediately a man rolls down his window and says "Give me 5 minutes, I'll go get gas!" Then a woman stops by and says she saw a man offered to get us gas, and didn't want to leave us alone with him. So sweet. Then another man and his wife got out and help us push our car off the road. The gas guy came back 2 times because he didn't have the right nozzle. But he got just enough gas in for us to make it to the gas station. The woman who waited and the gas guy actually made a connection that they knew each other in high school! We gave them pass a long cards and thanked them for serving us and offered to share a message to return the favor. It was  very embarrassing moment, but we got through it! We told our friend Sis Cookie about our gas incident. We also sat by her at church for testimony meeting! I went and bore my testimony about joy. Then when I sat back down by her, she nudged me and said "I thought you were about to bear your testimony about running out of gas." Haha! Love her so much. It really was a miracle! So many people stopped and offered help. God showed us there is still good in the world.
Spiritual Thought
Alma 31:5 "And now, as the preaching of the word had a great tendency to lead the people to do that which was just—yea, it had had more powerful effect upon the minds of the people than the sword, or anything else, which had happened unto them—therefore Alma thought it was expedient that they should try the virtue of the word of God." The word of God us more powerful than a SWORD. How often do you sharpen your sword with scripture study? I invite you all to increase your scripture study to be ready for every battle ahead in your life.
