Miracles
---We were driving around a neighborhood and Sister Dayley said "We need to stop at that house." We took a few turns and got lost. And then we FOUND IT AGAIN! We knocked and met Lee! She said "I know who you are, someone sent you." We got instantly frantic saying no one sent us. I said "...well God sent us!" Lee said "yes he did! I've been here for 3 weeks, I was waiting for him to send someone!" WOW isn't it amazing how Heavenly Father works? We found out she has gone to church very consistently back in Connecticut and Maine and fed the missionaries every week! We are excited to see her testimony will grow to new heights!
---Our miracle...CHRIS! We hadn't been able to get in contact with him for several days since getting to the area. I felt prompted to stop by on Tuesday, and he was home sick, and came out to talk! (Blessing in disguise if you ask me). He was very interested in the Book of Mormon and we gave him a copy. THAT night, he had gone 188 pages into the Book of Mormon and told us he couldn't stop smiling when he read! Then came Thursday, he was in ETHER! We talked more and extended the invitation to be baptized! And Friday, just a few pages left to read! In 3 days, the Spirit of Christ was able to convert Chris through the Book of Mormon. He even made a rap about me and Sister Dayley (who he calls his little sisters and little gangsters). He was able to see his 5 year old son, and we told him that blessing came from reading the Book of Mormon! He is so ready to come to church and feel of the Spirit there. Ahhh we love him!
---Evan and Shane! These two men met us on Wednesday, and were so touched by the spirit that they CAME TO CHURCH on Sunday! In their own words they said to the bishop "I plan on making this my permanent church" and "how do I switch my records between churches? Is that allowed?" We are so happy the Lord led them to us.
---Our friend Debbie who we are teaching mentioned how she used to collect the little "doves" that come from the inside of sand dollars. We were talking about the Holy Ghost when she shared this story. I remembered when organizing the apartment I had found 2 chipped sand dollars... so I cracked them open and gave Debbie a way to remember the Holy Ghost!
Spiritual Thought
My thought this week comes from Mosiah 5:12 "I say unto you, I would that ye should remember to retain the name written always in your hearts, that ye are not found on the left hand of God, but that ye hear and know the voice by which ye shall be called, and also, the name by which he shall call you." In that day when he shall come again, he will call each of us. And we need to RECOGNIZE and KNOW his voice. What can you do this week to better know the Lord's voice? Whatever you choose, be diligent! After all, these are the last days!
This week, a lot of patience paid off. We saw amazing miracles and some fruits of our labors. I know I may have to wait longer periods of time for miracles, but I know that as I am obedient and look for ways to improve, the Lord will never fail me! Love y'all lots, each and every one of you! Toodaloo for now lovelies! Choose the right!
Birthdays
Happy Birthday to my beautiful cousin Maddie! I have so many amazing memories with her when she'd come watch us for a week. From candy bar salad and making Alice in Wonderland pearler beads... I love her to pieces!
This is my address for receiving letters for at least the next 3 weeks. I would love to hear from friends and family back home!
