Week 10: The Mercenaries Stopped By

So I typed up this email LAST week and couldn't send it right away, so here's some details about my week from Wednesday the 27th-Monday the 2nd!

Random
-Blueberry muffins kit kats are okay
-Apparently Sister McGhee and I are "as cute as a rear end"
-Homemade pickle pizza is oddly good
-We are getting a new car bc our cute little equinox is too old ๐Ÿ˜ข
-Some kids tell their parents the mercenaries stopped by... good thing the parents knew he meant missionaries!
-Met a set of twins, one curly head brunette girl and one blond boy ...reminds me of someone.... pst Blake you're my favorite.
Miracles
-Rohan- RIGHT as we were leaving for church on Sunday, our neighbor across the way and us opened up the door at the exact same time! He asked if we were headed to church and we said yes! We chatted with Rohen and he pretty much invited himself to church next week! The Lord's timing is REAL.
-Krissy- We were inviting all the people we know to our spaghetti dinner. No one we are actively teaching came... BUT we had just dropped Krissy a few hours before and then she showed up at the spaghetti dinner with her dad! She told US that we cant leave until we have her number and wants us to come visit. She loves talking with us! After so long of trying to reach out, someone has been lead our way! Krissy!
-Mary- We had been texting a woman about the spaghetti dinner and said we'd love to meet her. God knew! We were wondering Walgreens and the woman says "what kind of badges do you have on? We explain that we are missionaries, and she says ARE YOU THE SURFSIDE SISTERS?! I'm MARY!! Woah. Heavenly Father intervened, and she knew it was fate we say each other. We have an appointment to go back!!!!
Cool Experiences
-I caught a TWENTY THREE INCH BASS!!!! Did my Grandpa Hamilton proud ❤
-I went to watch Dragon Boat Racing!!!
-I was standing by the goal during soccer night (because I'm terrible and know where I belong). Little Miguel comes over and stands right in front of me, so I figured he was taking my place. As I walk away to engage in the game, he says "No you're still goalie, I'm just helping you." Well that was sad ๐Ÿ˜‚
-I got to sing in so many homes this week, there's a different type of power that comes from singing for the Lord.
-A member asked us to read a book to her that has a lot of language I now can bleep out bad words really well๐Ÿ˜
This week we had a harder week, but we are are still expecting miracles every day!
Spiritual Thought
I was reading this week in 1 Nephi 11. This is Nephi's account for the tree of life. I LOVED in verses 21-22 how it says the tree of life represents the love of God and how its the most desirable of all things. In verse 25 it says the Iron rod represents the word of God. So what I learned from my study, is this: As we hold fast to the scriptures, we will be able to feel God's love more abundantly in our lives. THE WORD OF GOD LEADS TO THE LOVE OF GOD! I'm so grateful for the scriptures and their guiding power in my life. I invite all of you to feel God's love more this week by immersing yourself in the scriptures!!!! I know they are true, go find out for yourself!
Birthdays!
Elder Withers in my zone had his birthday on Sunday. See pictures for our birthday surprise to him!
