Week 30: Drunk encounters and Unconventional Week

P. S. I wrote this last week, but I didn't get a chance to send it. Sorry its late! Hehe! Ready set GO!

Odds and Ends
-Some children in the ward were misbehaving and so the mom tells them "I'm going to tell the sister missionaries..." They instantly said "No no no!" It's like we are Santa Clause or something over here!
-I was holding the door open for a woman to our locked complex. The manager lady comes over and said "you could be fined $25 for that." I thought she was joking. She was not. She proceeded to walk over to our car and say we could be fined for our parking job as well. She told us to read our lease. I had to work hard to not let that freak me out and ruin the start of the day haha! She's just doing her job, I just forgot we probably shouldn't let strangers in, even if holding the door is Christlike hehe!
-We rearranged the apartment!
-I took a picture with a tik tok famous gorilla. 
-A sweet 11 year old told us she wants to serve her mission in the Amazon Rain Forest because even the animals need the gospel! Her backup is Puerto Rico if that doesn't work out haha!
-We currently have 6 dozen eggs in our fridge from other people.
-I was carrying some metals chairs and a member in our ward came over and squeezed my arms and said "you have some baby muscles there!" That was strange😂
-We heart attacked 4 peoples homes this week! 
Miracles
-We had a lesson with our friends Jasper and Willie Bell (oh I just LOVE her name!) When we pulled up, their daughter who lives next door staggered on over looking insane. Even my little sheltered mind knew she was drunk. She said some craaaazy things and ripped her mother's cane from her hands and was wearing 2 cowboy hats and was saying it was Halloween and it was insane. Jasper and Willie Bell asked us to leave and we left with our spirits crushed. But we had on the schedule to pick up some eggs from some members and OH my goodness their little girls Abby and Lydia lifted our spirits so much! God knew we needed them to help get our Spirits in the right place.
---We did some service for a local thrift shop and we helped a lady carry her things out to her car. She spoke very little English, asked if we were from the church, and told us she has breast cancer. She asked if we would pray for so we did right then and there!
---We've had so many miracles by meeting new part member families and helping their testimonies grow. 
Spiritual Thought 
Alma 9:20 talks about how we can have things made known unto us. 1 Desire 2 Faith and 3 Prayer. This is the formula God has given us, but if you notice it says nothing about timing. Because His timing is perfect, and He ALWAYS answers our prayers and the desires of our hearts! We have to be willing to accept his plan for us, no matter the answer. HE WILL ANSWER!
Birthdays 
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my beautiful Aunt Jen! Even though she always wins at card games at the cabin, I'm the true winner being her niece!

Odds and Ends  ●We found an Elder Street! See pics ●We had a game night with the Reynolds after proselyting hours, which comprised of Cover Your Assets and giant Uno!  ●I made Sister Clark and her family cookies as a thank you for playing the piano for me, and she asked for cookie recipe! Week 64: Bye Sister Mickelson 🤧

Transfers... my sweet Sister Mickelson. I don't know if I've ever laughed harder in my life. This girl has brought me so much joy. She teases me for my little quirks, she teaches me new life skills on the daily, she hand modifies her dresses, she paints like a queen, she has the FUNNIEST phrases, and has the biggest heart ever. Sister Mickelson is a big part of my heart now. Definitely sobbed watching her leave. But it was so fun watching her complete her mission strong! Maybe I'll name my child after her. We'll see! I'm lucky God blessed me with her and her spirit. Right before she left, we stated our missionary purpose one last time. I could hardly choke it out. Man I love this girl. Thanks for the memories Sister Mickelson ♡♡♡ but she'll be back to visit in like a month! Woohoo! Sister Bruce and I are staying in Gilbert//Lake Murray! Meet my new companion... Week 40: Thanksgiving and Gratitude

Another miraculous week in Newberry! Ahh I'm forever grateful for this town that's grown to be a part of me! Odds and Ends ---Sister Carter tried to drive over a cone but it definitely got stuck under the car ha! ---Found a leaf bigger than my face ---Had red bean paste sesame seed pastry thing. Mm mm. Never again.  ---Had my first actual door slam of the mission. ---We had a member meal with the Morris family. I just love them! We had homemade milkshakes. Right before the spiritual thought, Jaron and Brother Morris got into a little mini wrestling brawl. Brother Morris threw a pillow and it knocked a milkshake over and spilled everywhere. Thankfully it didn't knock over the lamp or glass nativity. Haha! Kinda a fun little moment.  ---We were talking with Henning and Dana on Thanksgiving, when one of the dogs started having a seizure!
