HERE WE GO!

Odds and Ends

-Debbie gave me a sparkly cross pin from her childhood ❤️

-One of our friends who smokes heavily somehow had a baptismal jumpsuit in her closet... needless to say we had to wash it several times, and add some bleach. It'd good as new now hehe!

-Sister Dayley is bomb at making smoothie bowls. 😋

-We saw a Sakata get eaten by some ants

-Sister Dayley has a talent for aiming from the curb haha!

-Our fruit fly traps (since we got here 3 weeks ago) has caught 76 fruit flies, plus ones we've killed with our hands.

-We found a cute Lil steamed bagel shop!

-3 times we were fed Chick-fil-A by members this week... I'm kinda Chick-fil-Aed out.

-Our friend fixed 3 of my dresses, all which happened be smocked tops! She said she sees I have a favorite style 🤪

-Lori gave us so much food and presents from raisins to chips to 3 freezer dinners to journals wrapped in wrapping paper, to a new painting to hang in out apartment. She's too sweet!

-made homemade mochi with members!

-bought bazooka bubblegum

-went to the zoo

Miracles

---We found 7 new people to teach this week!

---While updating we were driving around to see where the Lord would lead us. We stopped by a random house we saw and met Sarah and her baby boy Jonathan! She was the sweetest and invited us in. We shared a thought and asked if she'd like to learn more and she said sure! We asked for her last name, and she said Trone. After she door closed and we walked away, we realized that name sounded familiar! Past missionaries had met BEN Trone, who we didn't have an address for. But now we do! It's the same family! We hope to get in contact and start teaching them both!

---We were going to stop by our friend Chris' house, and we didn't feel too comfortably with it. We parked and went to a friend's house near there. We looked up at one point and witnessed a drug deal RIGHT next door. The Lord protected us!

---Loraine and Ana are mother and daughter who speak Portuguese! We brought our Spanish speaking RM Madison with us, and holy cow it was cool! Spanish is similar to Portuguese, so they heard enough to get some understanding. Then when Madison read the first vision in Spanish, we all got chills! The Spiriiiiiit! It was amazing. We had to do a lot of translating, but we still felt such a close bond! I worked up the courage to say some Spanish, and they loved it! We even got a kiss on the cheek after! I know the Lord prepared a way for us to understand each other. It was BEAUTIFUL!

Spiritual Thought

2 different thoughts this week because I couldn't choose!

1- Mosiah 15: 11 "Behold I say unto you, that whosoever has heard the words of the prophets, yea, all the holy prophets who have prophesied concerning the coming of the Lord—I say unto you, that all those who have hearkened unto their words, and believed that the Lord would redeem his people, and have looked forward to that day for a remission of their sins, I say unto you, that these are his seed, or they are the heirs of the kingdom of God." This scripture has a few actions! Hear, hearken, believe and LOOK! When we do all these things, we are promised the greatest gift of all. To be heirs of the kingdom of God. Isn't that beautiful? Ask yourself... how can you better prepare to become an heir?

2- Mosiah 15:18 "And behold, I say unto you, this is not all. For O how beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that is the founder of peace, yea, even the Lord, who has redeemed his people; yea, him who has granted salvation unto his people;" This scripture is gorgeous. It just spoke to me. It rejoices of Jesus Christ. I hope it touched you too ❤️

Elder JJ Jones is no longer a teenager! Go wish him a belated birthday!
