Week 23: Murals and Slippery Driveway and Ring Doorbells
This will be a short one. Hehe! But that's what I say every week.
I totally put 2 emails as week 21. But it's fine. Hehe! Time to brain barf the miracles and experiences I've had this week!
Odds and Ends
-had rhubarb pie for the first time! After a long day, our new friend Mike gave us each a piece of pie to brighten it up! We love him!
-Met an older man in the ward whose name is Peachy 🍑
- Sister Dayley accidentally sat on a pack of open wipes and had a wet mark on her dress for about 20 minutes haha!
-Sister Dayley slipped on the way out of a members home and they TOTALLY caught it on their cameras 🤣 SISTER DOWN
-A lot of people have cats and dogs out here... we now have a lint roller in the car
-One of the boys we are teaching dressed up for when we came over to teach again.. 😅
-Stickers are the best icebreakers for kids, and the easiest way to start a friendship
-Our friend Debbie asked us to sign her Book of Mormon! So sweet.
-There are cute murals EVERYWHERE here. Some will be coming soon!
-Lots of people tell us they aren't interested through their ring doorbell. Hehe!
Miracles
-Daniel was a the son of the parents we were trying to visit!! When the conversation was coming to a close, I asked a heaven-sent question and was able to help him open up about his relationship with God. The Spirit led to a return appointment!
-Even though a lot of people said they weren't interested, there were the few that were still kind to us anyways! Like our friend Susan who sprayed us up with her friends brand of bug spray, Bug Nip. It smells so good! And felt good to not gave mosquitoes biting.
-My TWINNER BLAKE was able to receive his mission call this weeeeeek! Ahhhh I'm so stinking proud of him! He will be serving in the Mexico, Mexico City Southeast Mission, Spanish speaking, starting November 28th. I know this huge step will allow him to be the miracle for hundreds of others as he served the Lord for 2 years.
-We saw a REALLY pretty sunset and it lit up my soul.
-A new woman who moved into the ward named Donna is my angel. We felt prompted to heart attack her, which led to a sweet visit, which led to a much needed spiritual experience/conversation and mom hug.
Spiritual Thought
D&C 84:88
"And whoso receiveth you, there I will be also, for I will go before your face. I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up."
I've been able to recognize several angels in my life this week from tender and sweet ward members to just kind people. I've had the opportunity to be an angel for other people. But my question to ponder: Who has been YOUR angel this week? Who have you been and angel TO?
Birthdays
Happy birthday to my cousin Benny! Cute little platinum boy is growing up!
And happy birthday to my uncle JJ who has a pretty amazing lego millennium falcon that blows my marbles!
I love y'all so much, please feel free to reach out if you need a prayer, a spiritual thought, or a friend. God bless! Until next week!
